「ONE-TIME PRODUCT」 は 一度だけ作る、または一度しか作れないアート寄りのプロダクト。 作家さんの技術や経験値と私達の妄想が創り上げる、ひとつひとつにストーリーのあるモノです。 100個を目標に、偶然に出会った景色を書き留めるように生み出していきます。 【1/100】山口市の木工作家 溝内健吾氏による 一輪挿し。 シンプルな家具製作を行う一方で、花器や小物入れなどを製作する溝内さん。 譲り受けたというモミジの木を、無作為な多面体に仕上げていただいた作品。 工房を訪れた際に見せていただいた作品の中で、上部を無作為にカットした花器の作品があり、その佇まいが美しく、「全面を無作為にカットした多面体を制作したらどうなるか」と話をする中で、思い入れのある木の塊をいくつか見せてくださいました。 見せていただいた中で、本人もお勧めしてくださったモミジの木片は強い存在感を放っており、多面体になった時に化ける雰囲気がありました。凡その大きさとラフスケッチのみをお渡しし、気持ちが向いた時にでもと、制作していただく事になりました。 約1ヶ月後、完成した作品は、整然とした佇まいの彫刻の様でした。 無作為に切っているという造形は、家具製作時に念頭に置いているという「整頓」から派生した様にも見える。何も考えない様にして切る動作の中で、無意識に入る整頓が木目や朽ちた表情、全体の量感の均整を保っている様にも見える。造形を活かすための淡い塗装もされており、それが一層、塊としての存在感を美しいものにしている。 そんな感想を持たせてくれる作品です。 彫刻として、一輪挿しとしてお楽しみいただけます。 サイズ：高さ：約200mm　幅：約130mm 素材：もみじ・ガラス試験管 仕上：オイル 制作者：溝内健吾 製作時期：2024年7月
