手彫りで制作された漆器の「蕎麦椀」。
豆鉋(まめがんな)と言う小さな鉋で、映し出された彫跡が輪郭になった、非常に手の込んだ作品で、丸太の切り出しから殆どの工程を手作業で行われています。木地制作の後、下地塗りから木地固め、乾燥の工程を含めながら十数回もの塗り作業を行い、完成します。気の遠くなるような作業を経て制作されたこの蕎麦椀は、両手で包み持った時にその"質感"からくる温もりを感じることができます。

蕎麦はもちろんお正月に食べる雑煮や、うどん、天丼やひつまぶしなどにもちょうど良い椀です。大切に使いながら、孫の代まで継ぎたくなる逸品。

また、内側や口が当たる部分、高台の下には黒漆で強度を補強されており、持続性を考慮された塗り分けになっています。数年〜数十年と使っていくうちに使用頻度によっては漆が薄くなってくる部分や、暮らしの中で傷が着くこともありますが、漆器は塗り直すことができます。そして、塗り直す事でその深みを増していきます。大切に使い続ける事で、生活の跡を継ぎながら成長していく作品です。

This "Soba-wan" (Soba bowl) is a masterfully crafted piece, hand-carved using a tiny plane called a Mame-ganna. This painstaking process leaves behind delicate textures that form the bowl's unique silhouette. Every step, starting from the raw log, is performed by hand. Following the woodworking, the piece undergoes more than a dozen layers of lacquering—including priming, wood stabilization, and drying—to reach completion. It is a true masterpiece that you will want to cherish and pass down even to your grandchildren’s generation. The thoughtful black lacquer reinforcement on the rim and base ensures long-term durability. "Urushiware" can be recoated, gaining even greater depth over decades of use. It is a work of art that grows and evolves alongside you, carrying the traces of your life into the future.

Urushiware is sensitive to sudden temperature changes. Please avoid pouring boiling or extremely hot liquids directly into the bowl; allow them to cool to a drinkable temperature first.

長時間水につけたままにせず、洗う時は柔らかいスポンジをお使いください。
Do not leave submerged in water for long periods. Wash with a soft sponge.
